Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan’s Purse sends gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. National Collection Week takes place every year during the third week of November. Arizona Community Church is one of apx. 4,500 drop-off locations collecting shoe boxes from the community across the country. We collected 1787 shoe boxes last year!
Getting Ready For The Fall
We are a community drop off site for Operation Christmas Child and need volunteers needed to help collect shoeboxes from our community.
You can pick up a shoe box to fill beginning Saturday, October 30th at all church services and in the front office. Return filled shoe boxes during any church service or on one of the dates/times listed above.

Build A Shoebox Right From Your Home!
Shoebox gifts built online go to the ends of the earth to children in some of the hardest-to-reach places—whether deep jungles, city slums, steep mountainsides, or one of more than 1,000 remote Pacific islands. Many of these areas are resistant to the Gospel, for cultural or religious reasons, and are home to some people who have never heard the Name of Jesus Christ.
Our Summer Packing Party
Together we packed 202 shoe boxes for young boys! We are thankful for our congregation's generosity purchasing goodies and willing hands who packed boxes. The Gospel will be put in these boxes and they will bless boys this Christmas season.
There are many ways to plug in with us. Pack shoe boxes in the fall, volunteer at our drop off site, and join our summer packing party.
Besides being a national collection site for our community, our congregation also packs shoe boxes for children. Last year ACC packed 536 shoe boxes! We packed 107 of those during our summer packing party, and also had 7 shoe boxes packed through Samaritan Purse's online shoe box packing website (link below). Our goals for our congregation are to pack 200 shoeboxes for boys this July and 700 shoeboxes by the end of collection week! Please join us as we pack shoeboxes to bless children around the world with fun and useful gifts, as well as the Gospel of Jesus.
The Best $10 You Ever Spent
This is so much more than sending a shoe box with gifts to a child. Each child also receives a book, The Greatest Gift, which shares the Gospel in their own language. The Greatest Journey is a 12-lesson discipleship course designed for Operation Christmas Child shoebox recipients to partipate in and learn how to follow Christ and share Him with others. As they do, entire families and communities are transformed by the power of the Gospel, and churches are started. The Gospel book and Journey program are rolled into the $10 shipping cost per shoebox.
